This time we had an unpleasant honor to experience the worst HF propagation that
I have ever experienced in the SAC SSB leg. I was not feeling well because I had
been suffering from the cold that I caught one week before the SAC weekend. I
was not sure if I would be able to participate at all. Finally I managed to
stay on the chair a bit but I had to go to bed quite early and that really hurt
my low band QSO and multiplier count. Ten seemed to be very poor from here
compared to the stations located in the more southerly latitudes. The highlight
of the contest was on Sunday at 1200Z when the torture was over and I positioned
myself comfortably on the couch for the rest of the evening.
