Comments:
We were able to get our Amp working properly on only 20 meters so decided to try
for SOSB 20 Meters this year.
Propagation at the start of the contest was great to all areas of the world.
So good that we were able to log 27 Zones and 51 countries in the first hour.
The band was still open to Europe at 11:30 PM ET but getting slow so took a
nap
and was awakened by some loud Europeans at 0730Z and managed to work almost
100
of them at 1:30 AM ET in a really weird opening. Averaged about 50 QSO's per
hour on Friday night and Saturday, but only about 25 per hour on Sunday as
conditions were not as good, and we seemed to have worked all the serious
contesters already.
Our efforts to call CQ on Sunday were mostly futile, due to it being almost
impossible to find a clear frequency not already occupied by loud DX stations,
or couldn't hear anything anyway due to widespread splatter.
Missed Zones 34 37 and 39. Never really heard anyone on from these zones.
Again a very enjoyable contest this year with great propagation.
