Comments:
In recent low-sunspot years I've started on 40 m. This year
I started on 20 m, and got 154 QSOs and 57 mults in 3 steady
hours, better than the 141 Qs and 41 mults in 3 hr. on 40 last year.
When I quit to sleep at 0611 Z I had 430 Qs and 76 mults, my best-
ever first night result. Sun. was more ordinary: 20 was slow, and
the QRN level was up on 40 and 80 in the last few hours. My
final result was middling: 827 Qs, vs 783 to 925 Qs since 2005. If I
use 79 mults for comparison with recent years vs my actual 82 mults,
my score was a bit better than in '05, '08, and '11, but a bit worse
than in '06, '09, and '10. I found 3 hard mults on 15 m. on Sun. between
2006 and 2050 Z: SK, AK, and NT (VY1EI was easy at 579). Crazily,
I missed only DELAWARE, next door, despite many hours on 80 and 40!
