Comments:

With holiday obligations, I couldn't squeeze in a full-time effort but did enjoy
using our local club callsign as a "little pistol" with barefoot radios and
simple antennas (dipoles, CF Zepp and half-sloper)for our limited power/antenna
class, intraclub competition.(LVDXA Challenge)

Even though I had to pass on a lot of what I could have easily worked with the
beams, I was surprised at what I could work with very basic antennas. Every new
mult. was a thrill!

I entered in "assisted" class but my spots disappeared early Saturday morning
when my cable internet modem died. The ISP tech couldn't come out until Sunday
afternoon so I didn't have spots again until 3 hours before the end of the
contest. Fortunately I'm used to S&P the old fashioned way, so it wasn't a
disaster.

40 & 20 were my best bands, followed by 15. 10 never really got going here.

Thanks for the Q's! 73 - Paul, K0PK
