Comments:
FT-857D @ 5 watts to G5RV (40M) and Cushcraft MA5V (20-10M).
Running QRP with my equipment in this contest was a real test of "self-esteem"!
Once I got on 20M and 40M, it was tough to repeatedly call a station running on
a frequency...working a seemingly endless supply of other hams. I'll call it
"character building", but it sure makes you feel "lonely" during some parts of
the contest!
Most humorous QSO - working Wayne, AD5ST, who lives about 2 miles south of me
in Arlington, TX. His on-air comment was "maybe it's long path"! Wayne is
also a member of the same DFW Contest Group Team Quark as I am.
As always with the NAQP contests, it's nice to hear top-shelf contesters treat
you so nicely as they dig your signal out of the noise. "Good Ears" to all who
contacted me!
See you in the next contest!
72/73,
Andy - WA5RML
