Comments:

After a gruel work-week and with some activities for the weekend it was not in
the cards to go the full nightly program - somewhat eased by the fact that the
late night/early morning directions are severly attenuated by buildings
blocking all from 170 to 340 degrees (failed even with the uncounted visits to
the two Irish stations heard and the only F-station, only one G worked :-(

Big workout for the bandmap as many powerhouses had to be visited very often to
finally earn the qso - thanks for all the good ears and receiving systems.
Darkest moment were CQs in the face from a station whopping 4.6 km away -
immediately followed by a 15 (?) second qso without repeat over 1400 km. QRP
with less than mediocre antenna (45 m lw sloping down from 12 m and up again in
V-shape) lets one feel the impact of receiving situations and even the fast
minor up- and downswings of condx. Perhaps irrelevant for the bigguns - but it
was fascinating to hear by the changing sound of a signal (not strength) how
workable a station was. Did I miss a 3,5KW-amp? No. As someone wrote in another
case: Hard work but so much more fun than with the real work.
