Comments:

Best. Score. Ever. And by a huge margin for me.

I'm strictly S&P in CW contests and this was the rule here, too. All equipment
behaved beautifully, though the self-supporting tower sure looked a little
wobbly in the 40MPH gusts!

80 and 160 were far better on Friday night; 10 was a wasteland on Saturday but
the opposite happened in the second half...the lowbands were gravely
disappointing on Saturday but 10 and 15 were on fire the following day. As
such, I was able to get good results on all bands, for the first time ever in a
contest.

Two huge firsts on this end: One, it was the first time I ever hit 100+
entities on three bands (40, 20 and 15) and the first time topping not just
2.5M but *3 MEG*. I know that won't stand up in the UBNs and I'll probably be
knocked down to around 2.96 or so, but still, nice seeing that "3" staring back
in my face as the time wound down. I could have probably put up another 250k if
I didn't nap during the day Saturday and Sunday, nor have as big a supper.

This was also my first-ever major CW contest where the RBN network was fully up
and running. And while it's good (to a degree), I think it really hurts lowband
DXing/contesting. Activity is spread around nicely on the upper bands, but on
160 especially, every spot generates huge pileups instantly, rendering what (to
me) is the best band we have far less pleasant. Topband manners have also left a
lot to be desired as a result.

Here's hoping the Phone contest in two weeks is as good!
