Comments:
I was on for one hour of the first 14! I even went shopping mid-day on
Saturday. Last year, I was low power unassisted and got over 1,200 Q's. That
would have been difficult this year what with the band conditions at the
beginning of the contest. Things started to pick up on Saturday afternoon with
the JA and Asia run. Had some screaming pile ups to JA and Europe. But, first
time ever that the Q's were higher on day 2 than day 1!
Best minute = 4 Qs'; best 10 minutes = 29 Q's; best hour = 141 Q's. East
Coast: Remember this is from the west coast. A different contest than from the
east.
This will probably be the last DX contest from this QTH. Moving sometime
between end of April and mid-summer. Would like to sell the QTH to a ham (DXer
or Contester). The antennas PLAY! Did not run over 1KW PEP the entire contest.
