Comments:
The poor band conditions and low participation made
this a character-building experience.
20m was okay for the first hour. Then it thinned out
and only the same few loud CQers. I stayed on 20m
for two hours because it was still 20 minutes before
sunset and 40m would be even harder.
40m slowly got better - people could finally hear
me. But by 0330z everyone was gone from 40m, and I
had to brave 80m, even though only one hour past
sunset.
80m SSB while QRP this early in the evening is really
a laugh. When I can work anyone at all it seems like
a miracle! Anyone who got me in the log has good ears!
