Just a part time effort again for this event given commitments to finding myself
a job. With half the log filled in a single run, and the other half using swoop
and pounce, I managed a great cross section of the many HQ stations and
band/zone combo’s. The 10m band was a little surprising with nothing locally
audible (maybe no-one was on), but select stations in EU and Japan were very
strong. The 15m band was open long path more than short path toward EU and
that is something very peculiar in my experiences from Sydney. The 20m band
was pretty live non-stop, but only short periods where many of the smaller
stations were workable. Sadly, I had no operation on the lower bands this
year, simply a 10/15/20 operation this year.
