Comments:

Total Mults includes the 13 Grid Activations. QSO Points totaled 261.

Another "Run 'n' Gun" Limited Rove by Mike, WB8BZK, and me in the
CoROVERolla (the 4th September in a row that Mike and I have done this.)

Activity where we started, at the EM78/78/88/89 Grid Corner just E of
Cincinnati was a bit disappointing but I had not advertised that we would be
there at the start (in large part because our route had not been finalized
until Mike and I were on our way from my home QTH).

I also discovered a big "DOH!" in my equipment set-up, that I had
failed to connect the 222 and 432 antennas. Fortunately, I thought to LOOK at
the 222 and 432 amps at the gas stop in Indy early Saturday evening. That could
have allowed a few more contacts from the area where we started (and I did *try*
to make a few contacts on 432 with the antennas disconnected).

Activity increased as we were by the Grid Corner (EM69/79/EN60/70) just NE of
Indianapolis and found quite a few stations to work in that area (especially
with antennas connected on all 4 bands instead of just 2 bands!).

Our overnight stop was in just into Illinois, along I-74 at Danville after
completing a CW QSO on 144 MHz while mobile with W9EWZ in S. Central Wisconsin
(EN60hc to EN52kr).

On Sunday morning, we headed to the EM59/69/EM50/60 Grid Corner just SE of
Champaign/Urbana before heading north toward "home" in the Chicago
area. The Chicago area was QUITE productive for QSOs with almost half of our
total being completed from the 4 Grids around the Grid Corner just NW of
Chicago (EN51/52/61/62).

Mike and I had fun and kept it safe...satisfying our primary goals.

Thanks to all who were on and active in the contest, especially to the stations
with which we were able to complete QSOs.

73, JK
