Comments:
A 9.75 hour limited effort from Cheyenne, WY. using a G5RV flattop up 50 ft.
running N-S, and a "barefoot" Kenwood TS-950SD with Heil ProSet and
HC-5 mic. element. Lots of "Hunt and Pounce" with a few attempted
runs. Nobody heard on 10, 15, or 80 meters. 20 was the "money band".
Had fun, but it's much easier to "hold court" in November
Sweepstakes, than in a state level contest like this with my modest station. I
wish that a conventional low power sub-category was included in this contest,
in order to level the playng field. Thanks for the Q's. Sorry for the WAS QSL
vultures that heard WY calling "CQ Texas","CQ Texas only",
and still thought it was ok to interrupt a "running" station for a
non-contest contact.
