Note, the above is a claimed score. Typically I have considerably less than a
golden log.
Rig : Drake TR-5/Heath HM-9 QRP Wattmeter, LDG Z-100 Matching device
Antenna: 130' inverted v apex @ 28 feet or so
10 was a gang buster early on, but when Europe started fading out, there were
fewer DX stations, so much more competition for the few. Did manage to
"break" a few pileups amongst cacophony caused by the multitudes of
1.5+++ KW stations with giant antenna farms, but couldn't break them all.
As I've said many, many times before, "I never cease to be amazed what one
"olde fogey non contester" can do with 5 watts to an antenna proven to
be a few dB better than a dummy load buried 6' under ground."
