well, i gave it a try. 160 has never been so poor. I couldn't even snag a VE6,
heard two (worked 1) KL7, heard no KH6. ran the usual suspects, an ARC5 free
running with a keyed 6AG7/6W6 MOPA, with an Elco 725 power meter setting on 5
watts. the antenn was a half wave inverted L. The receiver was an NC183/BC453
Q5er, with a 2 1/2 by 1 1/2 foot three turn loop, it feeding a 6SN7
differential RF amp.
