160m entry was chosen to test my new vertical, erected for the planned multiop
effort in the incoming CQ160m contest. Also added a switchable parasitic wire
element (director) to NA. The antenna did his job very well, worked 180 US/VE
stations during the contest. Last evening brings an excellent opening to Asia.
Worked JA3YBK at our sunset (1500Z) already, and then a continous stream of
JA's happened. Ended with 74 JA calls in the log. As highlights was called by
AH0K, HS0ZAR and HL2CFY during the last night.
RIG: Icom IC-781(tnx HA8FM!), IC-765, OM Power PA, L/4 vertical w parasitic
wire director, 3 Beverages (JA, NA, SA).
