Comments:
Another weekend of good conditions on 28. First and last QSOs on the two days
were 0638/1905 and 0658/1758 so about an hour less propagation on Sunday. As
usual each day started to the east and finished to the west. There were many
multi-path echoes on signals close in or further north; this effect was
particularly noticeable on Sunday.
Ran high power for the first time with the newly acquired 1K-FA connected to
the IC756 ProIII and it really made a difference getting through the pile-ups.
Antenna was the usual wet string, being just a fixed wire inverted V at about
6m.
We've enjoyed some great 28 MHz conditions for the CW and SSB legs and they've
helped to add quite a few new band slots. Is it too much to hope that the
conditions will hang around for the ARRL event next month?
Thanks for all the QSOs; it was a fun weekend. See everyone in ARRL 28.
