Really enjoyed the level of activity. This is what a number of us ARRL
Directors had in mind in the 70's when we created this contest. I remember Vic
Clarke, W4KFC, Harry Dannals, W2HD, myself, W0PAN talking about getting some
activity going on 10 so we wouldn't lose the band. In a very short time, with
consultation with the Contest Advisory Committee, we got it going and had the
first one in I think 1975 or so. This week-end was the best one I remember
participating in. Should be an all-time high in activity I would guess.
Thanks to all who participated in what will be one that goes down in History as
a great one! Thanks to K7SO and his article last year with more historical
details than I can remember. After 60 years being licensed, some things get a
