Comments:
I bribed my CW partner with a case of his favorite beer and the promise of more
time in the operator's chair. Strategy seems to have worked, as the CW mult
count is much better than that for SSB. Overall, I think, conditions were
pretty good, certainly better than last year, but not as good as the year
before. Auroral activity made EU Qs a rarity. But there was good action in NA
and we had some great runs. Lots of fun.
Who needs those brain training games when you can work to improve memory and
attention by catching (and enter!) call signs quickly and accurately in a
pileup situation and extrapolate when QSB or QRM obliterates numbers and/or
letters?
As always, it was great to hear familiar calls and exchange a friendly greeting
along with the contest exchange.
Thanks to everyone who heard us CQing and dropped by and/or picked VA7BEC out
of the pileups.
CU in a couple of weeks in RAC Winter 2013.
73,
Rebecca VA7BEC & Koji VA7KO
