Comments:
For me, this contest was a big lesson of propagation. On Saturday I made several
tens of W6/W7s from west coast, some of them booming more than S9. The last one
I made in 1800Z. On Sunday, I did not make ANY of west coast and Qs with US
stations finished in 1630Z. During the afternoon both days the signals of
east/central USA stations were really loud. Really strange to me.
Generally: this is a hard contest for small station from central EU. We are too
close to one center of activity - moreover the signals are most of the day with
long echo. You can make east (but very little activity in this contest), USA/VE
(great activity, TNX!) or other DXs (VKs, ZLs, ...). But not EU (only 287 Qs -
20% - in my log with a pain). Anyway I like this contest and looking forward
for the next year!
