Comments:
Still setting up the radio when the contest started. Found my IC706 had a bad
chirp and rough note under full power. Reducing power to about 20 watts cleared
that up. Suspected a power supply problem but after the contest was over XYL
told me I caused TVI even when on 80 meters. With the antenna 100+ feet from
the TV antenna and running only 20 watts I'm afraid there is another problem.
If anyone heard spurious signals from me I would appreciate hearing about it.
IC-706 MkII ~20 watts - chirp problem with higher power
Butternut vertical with 6 elevated radials - 2 each for 80, 40 and 20.
