Comments:

My objective for this event was to pick up new states for LoTW SSB single-band
WAS therefore I kicked on the AMP when needed to work the few backscatter
signals I heard and used Packet. IF I submit my log it will be as a checklog.

It's time for the NAQP to add an ASSISTED category, and maybe even a High Power
Option. Counting multipliers per band but NOT allowing High Power to facilitate
working Backscatter on the High Bands and cross country on the Low Bands is
RIDICULOUS IMO.

I was hoping to find some backscatter signals from Eastern States on 10 meters
but all I heard were from w6/7. Bummer.

I picked up NE and SC on 15M plus KY and SC on 20M plus NE on 40M and NE on
160M.

ONE of the W1AW/0 guys in NEBR (40M SSB at 2135Z) adamantly refused to give his
name and went on and on about how he was NOT in the NAQP and giving his name
would "slow him down". He could have given his name and QTH 10 times
in the time he wasted chastising me for asking for his name. Fortunately, the
other ops signing W1AW/0 were giving out their name and QTH and had much better
rates that the 'non-participant'.

By 0300Z it was getting hard to find 'fresh meat' on packet or S&P so I
turned on the AMP and ran for a while on 75M SSB and even picked up a few
mults. Low Power Phone with 'disadvantaged' antennas is NOT FUN.

Station details:
Icom 756PROiii driving pair of 3-500's when needed
80M Elevated GP (had to track Tuner Capacitor with VFO as Ant tuned for CW)
40M Corner Fed Delta Loop with bottom wire 3 ft off ground (NOT a pileup
buster)
20M TH7 at 40ft. Dipole at 50ft facing EA/ZL.
15M TH7 at 40ft. 4L15 stuck at 75 deg at 55ft.
10M TH7 at 40ft.
