Comments:
Nice contest with our "old" guest operator Saulius, LY5W, and our new
(but well known) Domenico, IZ8JAI, and Carlo, IK1HJS. As usual the Antonello
(IT9EQO) and Carmelo (IT9AUG) work to prepare the station was fantastic. New 40
meters' "monster", long boom, 50 US$ Yagi (by IT9GSF design) performed
very well. No interactions with 80 meters and better signals than with 4 squares
verts. Sorry that some bad people stole the electricity line from the poles for
some km of wire (they were arrested by Police!). We had to use the generator
for the whole contest period. Enjoyed very much the Calogero's sausages on
friday, but during the contest we didn't eat well (we were too busy).
Also, a problem for Saulius was our little, but very strong, sicilian coffee.
We miss our friend Giuseppe, IT9ESW, (Good cooker and CW op!)... Thank you for
all the QSOs. Now, after the contest, as usual after the CQ WPX CW contest, we
go to the beach to swim in the warm waters of Mediterranean sea.
