Comments:

That was a fun 24 hours that was over before we knew it.

Before I get into our SOAPBOX, we would like to commend the entire group of
people associated with the WRTC 2014. We can only imagine all the work that
went on behind the scenes to deliver what appeared to be a totally flawless
event. A big congratulations to the international teams. Yes, there has to be
someone at the top of the list and someone at the bottom, but just to be
selected to participate made everyone winners in our eyes. Finally, GREAT JOB
with the on-line real time web link. We had it up throughout the contest and
enjoyed watching the teams move up and down.

We ended up with our best all time M/S for this contest. Our M/S team crew
included Kaz - W4KAZ, Mike - N4GU and me. Kaz was all SSB, I was all CW and
Mike was split about 80 - 20, CW to SSB. The rates were always good. Even
sometimes the rates were great. Mike saw his rate meter hit just over 400
during one of his SSB runs. Kaz and I had to settle for the 300s, but that is
still outstanding. Being able to run M2 would have made the weekend perfect.
The bands were so good it was hard to move off of a great run to go to another
band to make sure we could add to the mult total.

The only equipment issue we had was noticed early Sunday morning. The main NW
beverage seemed to go dead. That is when it is nice to have a backup. The
main is 1200ft and the backup is only 270ft, but as long as we are not trying
to work JAs on 160 it works just fine.

Thanks to all for the Qs, the patience and the repeats.

See you next time.

73,
W4KAZ - Kaz
N4GU - Mike
N1LN - Bruce
