Comments:
Got on in support of WRTC. I think I was pretty successful from NW AL.
WRTC stations all had terrible sig's on 80mtrs. The EU station where much, much
louder even when considering the normal summer time high QRN level.15mtrs was
the band to start on as all stations were good cpy hr though in the afternoon
sigs were puny. Started working WRTC stations on 40mtrs at 4PM local time and
that band just kept getting better as the evening went along. With my limited
time spent it was fun chasing the WRTC stations and filling out the WRTC
band/mode check sheet on the fly. Seems the W1X stations were the most
difficult to find and work. Great fun and mucho activity. Congrats to all WRTC
participants and one heck of a job for the organizers and support folks.
Tim, AB4B
