I had not planned to operate the contest due to an ongoing TVI issue with
AT&T UVerse. I was ops checking a SGC 230 tuner which turned out to work
and heard the contest so I worked 4 bands using a 16' radiator wire thrown over
an oak tree branch, three 33' radials lying on the ground and the tuner running
70 watts out of the FT 1000D. A little frustrating at times not being heard but
enjoyed it nonetheless.
