Comments:
Had serious insomnia after the 1st session, so I didn't go back to sleep until
30 minutes before the start of session #2. Woke up in time to operate just
over an hour, so I settled down on 20. Made a few S&P contacts, then just
squatted on a freq and started a run.
Thanks to all who stopped by 14.043 and gave me a QSO!
I was especially happy to get calls from K6RB, NW2K, K9QVB/9, N4AF, new CWOps
member K4EU, N5QQ (fellow member of DFWCG), and then there was Ron, KU7Y, with
his QRP signal--right in the clear!
I'll miss session #3, but look forward to CWT next Wednesday.
Funny…while I was nearing the end of the contest on my 20m "run," I
checked 40 and 15, but heard NOTHING! Then, with only moments to go, I flipped
up to 15 and caught 2 Qs. All others were on 20. Weird!
As an aside, I'm considering applying for a short vanity call in early 2015,
giving up my lifelong WB5EIN. Two possibilities are W5AB or NA5A. Which would
you prefer?
