My best *MOBILE* CWt yet. 'Course, I spent the entire hour in the car, rather
than the usual 25-30 mins, and I was parked for part of the time. Sorry for
duping WJ9B. A big semi-truck went by just as we were finishing and by the
time I had a copy on you again Wil, you were onto other things.
Very surprised to work one Italian on 10m, but only 3 other Stateside Q's.
N5AW was everywhere ! SO3R? HI. Big signals on 10m, but only from 4 folks.
Thanks for picking out my QRP-like signal and please excuse the keying. I
think it's a low voltage or RFI issue with the FT-857D in the MINI. It likes
to drop dits and occasionally even dahs. I have no idea why. I've looked under
the floormats and cannot seem to locate them afterwards.
I may try an external keyer in the future, but gosh knows where I'll put it in
the MINI !
Looking for another set of paddles the same size as the K8FF's I got through
Norcal 15+ yrs ago...they fit under my e-brake handle fairly well and don't
usually move around much.
Cheers,
Mike VE9AA/m FT-857D @ ~70w, SD-330, 09 MINI COOPER, pen/paper/memory + K8FF
mini paddles.
