Comments:

High propagation condx with SFI in the 220+ mark but with quite a few flares
during the weekend (several of X class) leading to R2/R3 radio blackouts
lasting from few minutes to few hours make for an interesting environment to
compete. High propagation means intense pileups sustained in the West-East path
between EU and USA and USA-Far East Asia. For a LP operation 10 meters yield the
best outcome, followed from far behind by 20 and 15 meters. Only was able to
sustain a run at 10 meters, in the other bands were very short number of Q till
dying down or not able to pick up any rate. 40 meters were a practical joke, I
was only able to hear few regional stations and only faint and unworkable DX
stations, even early in the local morning the traditional opening with JA at
sunrise didn't happened, just a strong noise floor instead. To make things a
little bit more difficult the OTH Radar (Iranian?) plagued 10m (28.6 MHz) and
at some moments even 15m shown traces of it. Not all come bad, have to say. I
did enjoy few hours of a superb run going over my previous personal top rate
twice, these moments of thrill justify the participation. Entering in SO AB LP
(Classic) which is a format I'm using for the 2nd time and it was a fit for my
needs during the weekend, pretty much a good experience. Tested several
features at the station, some worked, some didn't. Looking forward for the CW
contest a month from now.
