Comments:
An interesting contest from the propagation perspective. Although the flux was
at a high level, the geomagnetic field was a bit too active up here making any
path through the auroral zone very difficult. Missed a bunch of zones and mults
including auroral zones 17, 18, 22, 23, 40 that are normally very workable from
here. Heard a few zone 17 stations weakly on Sunday morning but couldn't get
through east coast. Heard a VU2 at 0700 on Saturday over the pole for a short
time but he was only working Europe. Eastern Europe and the Middle East were
very difficult and only made a handful of QSOs. Western Europe was somewhat
better but could never get any good runs. Propagation on the north south path
to US and SA was excellent throughout the weekend.
As always Don was a great host and his superstation performed flawlessly
throughout the weekend.
See you all on CW next month.
