Station is still not whole after suffering a lightning strike this summer.
Spent a bunch of time on Saturday, and even Sunday doing some tower work. The
rest of the work needs a tower professional.
Had the sweep at 0225z when I heard VY1EI S&Ping on 20. Parked up 1kc up
and called CQ. Danny K7SS stopped by first, but got NT next. Rates seemed
extremely slow, even at the start. Most hours were only 50 rate (or slower!).
The slow rates were disappointing, so I worked on getting more broken stuff
fixed before the snow flies. By the looks of the weather, it seems like the
station will have to limp along until next summer.
