Comments:
Enjoyed this year's SS. I increased my score from last year by 45%, QSO count by
51%, and section total by 2. Despite being low-power with only wires for
antennas, I was actually able to run a bit on 40m (thanks Jim (N1SZ) for giving
up the freq) on Saturday evening and again for a bit on 10m on Sunday
early-afternoon.
Best move for me was to start on 40m where my low inverted V worked well early
on with little competition. I then made the jump to 20m around 0100z when a lot
of the hi-power stations moved to 40m. That left a lot of the W. Coast as easy
pickings with my largest total of multipliers (27) picked up in about 1 hour of
S&P unassisted on 20m.
Looking forward to beating my score again next year.
