Comments:
I started the contest QRP Assisted. Testing some new features with N1MM+,
Win4KSuite, CWSkimmer, and WinTelnetX.
Somewhere between operating the first night and operating some other random DX,
my power was changed and I was around 30w. I don't when it happened. So, I
just sent and increased my power to 100w and carried on. My rig was a K3.
The first evening I used my sloping 160m dipole. The second night I converted
the sloping dipole at the lower feedpoint of where the balanced line connects
to the balun into a top hat with two radials (a shortie and an longer).
I needed California for WAS, but LAX couldn't here me after multiple attempts
during the morning.
Oh, we were puppy sitting my grand-puppy. He got me up at 4:30 am so I could
let him out and get back to operating. Other distractions to late starts
including some non-productive deer hunting.
