Comments:
Well I was planning to work QRP and made several calls using 5 watts. No Joy!
So I went up to 100.
As in previous contests, I tuned to find a station, entered call sign and
pushed the Send-Callsign button until I got a reply or wore out my finger.
One problem I have is waiting too long for the station to ID or hearing the
callsign from another station.
Towards the end I went up to about 28.650 and called CQ for a while. Got only
one reply. Might have done better lower down as things thinned out.
I almost always include their callsign in my reply. It takes very little extra
time and saved some busted QSO's. I rarely hear anyone else do this.
