Call: ON7EH

Class: Single Op LP
QTH: JO20
Operating Time (hrs): 10.2
Summary:
Total: QSOs = 223 Total Score = 980
Club: NBT Grimbergen
Comments:
Working conditions:
-100W from an Elecraft K3 with hb outboard filtering
-inverted L (15m high drooping to 11m) + CG3000 ATU
This low band antenna was especially set up for the event, as were the many,
temporary extra and longer radials on friendly farmers field.
-N1MM Logger Plus
The antenna Z was tuned for resonance (X=0) with R =19 Ohm, just hours prior to
the event. Last year, it was sitting at a high 30 Ohm.
Alongside this major efficiency improvement, we had a good time.
Conditions were worse compared to last year. (first participation)
Not even VA2EW could make it in the log. (QSB and too weak signals)
Just a handful of USA/VE/UA could be worked.
We are very happy with RK9UE (5k+), K4RO and K0DI. (both at 7k+ km's)
Wx : windy (3-4 Bft) with several cm's snow on the ground.
Notes:
It is amazing to see K1LZ getting through in EU and effectively working
stations over the pond, hours before others.
It seems like -low power- to -low power- QSO's at such distances to have become
rare exceptions, nowadays!
