Comments:
Many thanks to Jim, K5RX, for use of his well engineered TB station. No local
noise or problems with static crashes. Good stateside conditions but very poor
DX conditions. Rate went to pot after the first 6 hours or so. Only worked two
EU stations (G4AMT and EI4BZ). GI3OQR called but could not get his Grid as hard
as I tried. Sorry about that! Hung in there hoping to work some VK/ZL and JA.
Beamed those directions for hours but never heard a trace of anything. Very
disappointing to say the least. Worked a few NA/Carib stations, KH6,
P4/DL6RAI, HC2AO and OA4TT. DX count down considerably due to the poor
conditions. Rarely used the second radio but gave the beverages a workout.
Thanks to all for the QSO's and congrats to the FB ops on Top Band. A pleasure
to operate this contest and love the distance scoring format. A TRUE DX
contest!
73 and HNY,
K5MR
