Comments:

After waking up Saturday morning and seeing frozen precip on the antennas, I
feared a repeat of the great ice contest a couple of years ago. This was
compounded by the pics of ice encased antennas people were sending me via
email. This year was going to be different. By noon, the temp climbed to 36 and
defrost began. I fired up the radios and, to my surprise, all the SWR's were
normal. The contest went well with no equipment failures this year which was
much better than having to take the tower down at the start of the contest last
year. No E's were observed at this QTH and condx were generally fair to poor.
Hats off to all of the rovers that ventured out to provide the many grids. They
all deserve a medal for their efforts. Catch all during the next test. 73,
Mike - WB2RVX
