Comments:
Very good band conditions throughout the contest, made quite a few new ones this
year. Filters on the Yaesu FT-DX3000 are amazing, especially the 3 kHz CW
filter. Really helped pull out the weak ones. Good openings to EU, the middle
East,Africa and Asia on 15, 40, and 80 meters. Spent very little time on 20.
Couple of interesting calls for me were Z81X, NH2DX, and BG2AUE via long path.
Think I heard some aurora conditions on 15 meters towards the end of the
contest, there were JA's galore and they all sounded like they were under water
hihi! All in all, very enjoyable contest, wish that I had spent more time on the
air, but spring like wx conditions outside called for my attention to some much
needed to be done chores.
