Comments:
This was an ES/YL/IK joint operation. And it only took place because of Manuel
and Giulio who initiated the operation and caused a full scale M/S with all the
bells and whistels:) It served excellently as dress rehearsal for WPX CW M/S.
The contest was real fun, even unexpectedly thrilling with jumping between 3
modes and keeping the rate up. Also having 7 operating positions all
interlocked as the rules require put the operators into a demanding situation
with the poor run op being shut down for tens of seconds at times.
The first day was very good with even some theoretical chance for catching
CN3A's world record but the second day really slowed down with 10m continuously
practically closed and rates low. Still we are happy with the result and even
more with the process while ES2DW kept everyone literally fed up and happy.
Have to say big thanks to Laurent, F6FVY, from Win-test team who took the time
to remove the last bugs from the contest configuration in the night before the
contest and we were good to go!
This operation was also with the lowest average age of our multi ops I believe
with ca half of the team in their twenties!
