Comments:

Moving day did not arrive as early as expected, so there was one last chance to
operate in one of my favorite contests; June VHF. Thanks to an eleventh-hour
equipment loan from Al, K8EUR, to allow a 3-Band category performance, I had
pretty good results on 144 and 432. It really was too bad that, this time in
particular, six meters never opened up for much more than a few minutes, here
and there. I did work a few TX and FL stations late on Saturday and I was
elated to reach C6, VP9 and EA8 on Sunday! It was apparent that Midwest
thunderstorms kept many ops off of the air. Running a frequency just wasn’t
fruitful, but I still had fun accumulating grids and QSO points from a wide
variety of stations. It was very gratifying to put together one last contest
effort from EN91lh, and for WN8R, before a planned call sign change and new
station location. Thanks for the multipliers, everyone!
