Comments:

I wanted to test my K3 using battery power, which I had never done before, but
do no harm to my K3. I hooked up a dry cell battery to the K3 with fast blow
fuses in the line and turned the power on the K3 down to 5 watts. I constantly
monitored to make sure the voltage did not go below 11 Volts.  I was able to
operate 5 hours with no problem and could have operated a couple of more hours.
