Comments:

Last year competing at WRTC in W1, Jon and I each worked about 2,000 Qs from our
luxury tent with 100 watts, a low tribander, and wires for 40m and 80m. Fast
forward to today from W7: running stacked monobanders, HP, SO2R, and other
hardware upgrades, and I still couldn't touch our individual totals.

Tough conditions. Didn't even get my zone on 10m. Thought the band would
eventually open somewhere, attracting all of the local and VE7 ops, but that
never happened. It hurts looking at all of those zeros on my 10m line score.

The real surprise was how incredibly poor 15m was for the entire 24 hour
period. Worked a large number of JA stations that didn't move the S-meter. With
such weak signals, it's no surprise most of the action was on CW.

Congratulations to N9RV, N6TV, and K6XX for great scores. Thank you to all for
the Qs!

73, Mitch, K7RL
