80 Watts, dipole at 25 feet, in the Ohia forest on the Big Island of Hawaii.
My first entry in this event. Single band effort; 40 meters was great the first
night. Learned a lot about thermal limits of my radio, and the little IC-718
survived. Thanks to the fine operators who patiently gave me a second or third
try!
