Station equipment: TenTec OMNI-VII with outboard TenTec RF Clipping Speech
Processor, FLEX 1500 as panadapter, TH-7 at 50 feet on 20-15-10, Butternut
HF-2V vertical on 160-80-40 TX and K9AY Loop System on RX. AOR TDF-370 is used
to process RX audio to overcome hearing losses - hearing aid in for repair made
decoding difficult in some cases.
I enjoy CQ WW SSB with its simple exchange and many DX stations. Although I
could run high power, I like to run 100 Watts and practice timing and technique
while in S&P mode for the experience for future DX-pedition pile-ups.
