Comments:

Back at the waterfront location tonight. Conditions were somewhat noisy with
rain in the area, but none to directly affect the setup and operation. Well,
maybe it helped, as there were a lot fewer people at the park, making it easier
to get a good parking spot.

I had a good run of weak stations on 20 just before the start, but only a few
stuck around for a QSO. Low bands probably pretty normal for FL, i.e some good
signals but often beat out by guys closer to each other up north.
Interestingly, I had three three band QSOs, K7SV, N3SD, and W4AU.

Much better ergonomics tonight. I sat in the passenger seat, with the K3 on the
dashboard, computer on my lap, and Palm paddle stuck to an electrical box cover
wedged behind the door handle. I used a HamStick on 20, so only one trip
outside the van to remove the clip lead shorting out the 80 meter loading
coil.

I hope to spend at least a few hours at the water during SS this weekend. Hope
to work lots of you.

73 - Jim K8MR
