Comments:

Before reading reviews of other stations in Northern Europe, I thought was
totally spent next to this contest...

In fact it seems that I had also to suffer difficult conditions for the
propagation in the northern European side except in Wales if we look the good
score of GW3YDX.

On Friday night, everything started well with 13 QSO in one hour, inaugurated
by KP2Q (VI) with a very strong signal and Canadian and American stations. But
suddenly at 2300Z noise increases tremendously and I can hear and therefore
contact only 9 stations until 0400Z ... 5 hours of very very lonely... I
hesitated to go to bed but paradoxically (?), I contact N7GP (AZ) at 0130z and
N0NI (IA) at 0147z with very good signals, what makes me stay and hope for an
improvement. It will come from 0400Z until 0753z, a few minutes after my
sunrise at 0721z.

On Saturday night, no WA or BC station heard in my sunset. The grayline does
not work for me... The sound remains high, I contact a Canadian station at
2248z and I'm going to bed !

On Sunday morning, I return to the radio at 0400Z. Always noise ... But I would
contact 40 other stations until 0730z. No station after a few calls before my
sunset (1616z) right at the end of the competition at 1600Z.

The total score seems ridiculous but maybe not that so bad if we examine the
propagation conditions...

Looking forward to a future 160 meters contest next year.

73 Laurent F6GOX.

YAESU FT-990 + PA , TX-RX antenna Inverted L , Rx antennas DHDL + TH11DX.
