Comments:
Just piddled around in this one as the band was squirrley every time I peeked at
it. Some stout signals off the side and rear of the yagi with watery ones off
the front. So, which way do I point this thing? I left it on 90 degrees, worked
SA, EU, HI and every call district - the rotor had a rest for sure. AR, LA, MS,
OK, TX and NM, all around 5 land, no problem and at times signals were loud.
Very brief openings both mornings into Europe and only the West side of the
continent at that. Some really big numbers out of South America and the
Caribbean as signals from there were continually stout. PP5JR was hauling every
time I heard him along with OA4SS, CX4AT and CE3AT and CE3JNP. Many LUs worked
while hoping for an opening to JA late Sunday looking at JA not LU. A handful
of VKs and ZLs with stable signals and KH6 was pretty well represented.
10 is sadly leaving us I am afraid. Hopefully a little left in it for next
year's doins.
73 - Jerry K5YAA
Rig: 8el Force yagi at 60', K3 and an Alpha 9500. N1MM+ logging.
