Comments:
FT1000MP, Alpha 78, 1 KW, dipole, zepp, tee vertical. Got a late and ragged
start. Had set up the 160M antenna and intended to start on time, but found
myself as NCS of our local NTS state net at the start. Then hadn't set up the
computer and the F key messages ahead of time. Missed the first 8 minutes
altogether and didn't work many for the next few minutes. 40, 80, and 160M
sounded pretty good. 40 was fairly long and some callers from within the skip
zone were pretty weak. Nice to work DX stations OK1DIG and F6HKA. On 80, the
west coast stations were fairly strong and the signal from KM7W in OR was
amazingly strong. On 160, VE3KP was as loud as most four-land stations.
