Comments:
Nice Contest, great conditions, what more could one ask?
Probably NOT to have a major station glitch! Yep, first time in the 60+ years
of hamming that a chunk of coax broke during a contest. I thought the finals
had for some reason gone out on my "trusty Drake TR-5." I could
still hear signals, but no transmit power. Finally decided the rig was the
problem, didn't dawn on me when receiving signal level came up dramatically as
I was removing the coax from the back of the rig. (DUH!) The somewhat older
TR-7 was put into service and it had no power. (That SHOULD have been clue.)
About 30 minute later of fussing around, I figured that the coax between the
rig and the matching until was defective. A new chunk of coax solved the
problem!
Thanks to the Radio Amateurs of Canada/Radio Amateurs du Canada for a fine
festival!
