Remote from Tokyo where this is a daytime contest on Sunday. I operated a
little before breakfast, most of the morning, then decided it would be more fun
to go out for lunch with the XYL rather than spend the afternoon wading through
the QRN or hitting the F1 key. I got back on for few minutes in the late
afternoon. I missed most of the hours when EU or the West Coast can be worked
so my points per QSO are pretty low. The band had S7 noise the whole time
although a lot of signals from the West Coast were pretty loud. Some could
hear me and some couldn't. Never heard any EU but wasn't on at the right time.
The station: K3 @ 100 watts and a dipole with average height about 50 feet.
No receiving antennas.
It's fun to watch the grid squares fill up on the map in Win-Test.
