Comments:

I was hoping for more of a score, but missed some prime time due to other things
going on.

I thought the bands sounded pretty flat, but there seemed to be a lot of
activity just the same. Well, I think the issue was the RX in the FT-1000D. I
swapped out the rig for the IC-7000 and actually heard more. Hmmm... I guess I
had that suspicion for some time, but it took a contest to confirm it. So I ran
with the IC-7000 about 10 AM Sunday to the end. Max power out was 65 watts with
that rig. So just about 3 db down from the 150 I had been running. Less QSO's
than last year, but more DX mults. Not a lot to be had with low power it
seemed.

The only state missed was NE. I saw someone work one on 10 meters, looked up
the call and it was hit or miss, but never did cross paths. I did not think
there was a lot of VE activity. Maybe just my perception, but missed SK and
some others usually are easy to get.
